Bbrick is a brick created from 100% recycled textile, with the intention of taking advantage and giving a second life to millions of tons of clothes that are thrown into landfills every year. In addition, Bbrick reduces the impact of the construction industry and offers a quality ecofriendly solution.
The Bbrick process is based on the treatment of plastic and textile waste. First of all, the waste is shredded to facilitate its treatment. The textile generates a spongy and light mass that allows air to remain inside the brick, improving insulation.
On the other hand, the shredded plastic is heated in an iron and pressed in order to create layers that reinforce the structure of the plastic. Finally the final binder is resin based on natural silica.
It is a project designed to be implemented now in order to reach maximum performance in 2030. Reducing the environmental impact of two of the most polluting industries on the planet. Textile and construction.
